Ann Brooks (NDD, DA - Manchester Regional College of Art), has an extensive background as a textile designer, potter and art teacher. She is currently a part-time Art Tutor in adult education, free-lance designer and painter, organiser of painting breaks in Scotland and workshop demonstrator.

Focusing mainly on painting, Ann takes her subject matter from her eclectic range of visual interests, most notably sea and landscape, and Mediterranean village scenes. Her studio, on the West Coast of Scotland, is situated overlooking the beach and the Isle of Cumbrae and Isle of Arran. Her style is lively with a bold interest in colour, and communicates with abundance her great joy in painting.
