DEBRA BALL

I am a 45 year old artist and illustrator since 1977. I was born in Nottingham and studied art at Clarendon College in the early 80s.

I have been living in Shetland for the past 14 years for health reasons, enjoying the northerly climate and some times bracing winds . Because I have chosen a quiet life I can get engrossed in my work, without any distractions.

I have practiced working with different media throughout the years, moving from fine pen and pastel drawings, to palette knife,depending on my mood and my working environment.

I get great pleasure , satisfaction and excitement when I am painting something new and original .

I hope you enjoy my work as much as I have enjoyed creating it.
