Elizabeth Nuttall

I have long had a fascination with the wonderful design and variations of the human form. This has led to a deep and abiding passion for life drawing, where my love of the body as an art form finds expression.

Working in pastels, I choose to use a coloured paper which, for the most part, becomes not only the background but, in many cases, an integral part of the drawing. Whilst my emphasis is on colour, line and mood it is true to say that the unoccupied space of the composition is just as important.

The viewer is asked to become involved with the image and the beauty of life as art.
