JO FLAGER

The research material for my painting comes from the midwest Kansas area where I live and work. I live on the edge of the prairie to the west, and the timber of the Ozarks to the east. I do realistic paintings that come from a lifetime of living in the farm and ranch country. Flowers that I grow usually find a way to canvas and paper. Observation of the world around me have been my greatest teacher with encouragement from family and friends.
Workshops with famous artists have helped me hone my skills. It is an education that never stops.
