Joe Hush

Joe, a Northumbrian artist, was born in the small market town of Rothbury, he was raised in Alnwick and now lives with his wife and son in Washington, County Durham. He is primarily a landscape artist and the countryside of Northern England has certainly inspired him. Joe and his wife often go for country walks, especially into woodlands, which he says attracts him like a magnet.
He works in Acrylics, Watercolours and Oils and he tries to capture and convey his feelings of a particular subject, he says he still remains mesmerised, seeing the scene materialise onto the paper.

Joe tutors for the W.E.A. (Workers Education Assoc.) and he demonstrates and runs workshops for many Art clubs and Societies throughout the North-East. He is a self taught artist and is proud that his paintings are now in many art galleries and homes throughout the U.K.
