Artists Comments: Unloading timber is a regular event at several Japan Sea ports. The Russian timber ships enter port and unload their cargo of large, uncut logs into the sea. Japanese workers arrive in small boats, tie the logs together and tow them back to their timber port; some workers ride on the logs.
